2026 Fremont TTA Butterfly May Open tournament

The second tournament of 2026 hosted by Fremont Table Tennis Academy, at the Siliman Center, took place this past weekend. The 2026 Fremont TTA Butterfly May Open featured around 100 players battling for top honors in the usual rating, age, or open events. There were many multiple event winners this time around led by Ruoxi Wang who won 1st place in  the Under 1000, Under 1300, and Under 1600, 2nd place in Open Doubles, and 3rd place in Juniors 18 Years and Under. The other multiple event winners were Anchit Nayak (Under 1900, Juniors 18 Years & Under), Ayaan Mohan (Under 700, Under 450), and Serena Zhao (Under 250, Under 200). The next tournament will take place on Saturday, August 15 also at the Siliman Center.

HIGHER-RATED/OLDER-AGE EVENTS

In the higher-rated/older-age events, Anchit Nayak was the only multiple event winner by taking the Under 1900 and Juniors 18 Years & Under titles over Mihika Vangapalli and Prithvin Pratheep, respectively. Open Singles was won by visiting top Taiwanese youth player Chen Yueh Yang over Diego Gallardo who would take the Under 2200 title over Alexandru Frunza. The Under 1600 was one of many titles by Ruoxi Wang with 1600 over Kaviyuvan Irullappan. Seniors 50+ was won by Michael Ramirez over Chris Boyea. Open Doubles was won by Raghav Bikkina and Siddanth Gogikari over Amritshyaam Gautam and Ruoxi Wang. 

LOWER-RATED EVENTS

In the lower-rated events, Ruoxi Wang, Ayaan Mohan, and Serena Zhao all won multiple events. Ruoxi Wang took the Under 1300 and Under 1000 titles, over Akash Tangri and Rishaan Patel, respectively, to go along with her Under 1600 title. Ayaan Mohan won the Under 700 and Under 450 events, over Ethan Hu and Serena Zhao, respectively, to give him 6 tournament titles in the last two tournaments! Serena would get her titles, however, by winning the Under 250 over Isha Kriti Padmarao and Under 200 over Advaith Anandan. The Under 150 event was won by 8-year old Pannag Mahesh over Aarav Walia. Aarav would win the Under 125 event over Aveer Bhardwaj. Juniors 11 Years and Under was won by Yashvi Khandelwal over Rishaan Patel. 

JUNIORS 8 YEARS & UNDER

The Juniors 8 Years & Under event represents kids with a bright future at Fremont Table Tennis Academy. Rugved Kharatmal, finished in 3rd place in his first 8 years & under tournament, 2nd place in his second tournament, and 1st place this time. He won over Rishan Reddy. Third place went to Adarsh and Siddhartha. Fifth place went to Aditya.

2026 Fremont TTA Butterfly March Open tournament

The first tournament of 2026 hosted by Fremont Table Tennis Academy, the 2026 Fremont TTA Butterfly March Open, took place this past weekend featuring over 100 players battling it out in various age, rating, and open events. It took place at the usual nearby venue, the Siliman Center. The players to win multiple events were Ayaan Mohan (4 1st!) and Praful Bhaidasna (2 1st and 1 2nd). 2025 US Open

2025 US Open: Sid Medals, 7 5th Place Finishes or Better

Fremont Table Tennis Academy advanced students went to the 2025 US Open in Las Vegas, Nevada which featured 1300 of the best players in North America and some other top international players. The serious advanced students train year-round to try to perform well in these tournaments. Students to go were Mihika, Raghav, Anchit, Hasini, Isha, Smayan, Kavi, Siddanth, and Kethan.
