#2-Werner Schlager of Austria becomes the last non-Chinese World Men’s Singles World Champion by winning the Worlds in 2003 in Paris. This led to the massive Werner Schlager Academy opening in Austria. It is currently one of the top table-tennis centers in the world and many of the top world-class players have trained there.
