2022 fremont butterfly June open table tennis tournament
There were 75 players battling for honors in 14 events over 3 days.

The 2022 Fremont butterfly June open featured 75 players battling in 14 events for trophies and medals as well as prize money in open singles. There were events for all levels as usual  in the tournaments as well as the juniors eight years and under event returned this time. The next tournament is tentatively scheduled for August 26-28, 2022.

Day 1-Friday, June 17, 2022

The first day of play featured he entry level events such as under 25 rating, under 50 rating, under 100 rating, and under 400 rating. It was a nice surprise that all event winners on the first day won a tournament for the first time! The winners were Bryan Wu (under 400), Rayan Chatterjee (under 100), Disha Bhattacharyya (under 50), and Saatvik Swaminathan (under 25).

Day 2-Saturday, June 18, 2022

The second day of play featured the mid tier rating events such as under 700, under 1000, under 1300, and under 1600 as well as juniors 12 years and under. In contrast to the first day, all event winners on the second day have won tournament titles before. The event winners on the second day were Tega Sebeni (under 1600), Abilash Amarthaluri (under 1300), Tanishq Dhavali (under 1000), Karthik Kalle (under 700), and Mihika Vangapalli (juniors 12 Years and under).

Day 3-Sunday, June 19, 2022

The third and final day featured the highest level of play of the three days with open singles, under 2200, and under 1900. The tournament concluded with junior 17 years and under and juniors eight years and under on Sunday afternoon. Open singles was won by Rohan Sirisena Manamendra Gedara. The under 2200 was won by Susmith Rajendr Barigidad. The under 1900 was won by Arun Sharma. Michael Chen reached both the under 2200 and under 1900 finals. Juniors 17 years and under was won by Emma Dong and juniors 8 years and under by William Jin.

2025 Fremont TTA Butterfly October Open

The 2025 Fremont TTA Butterfly October Open took place this past Saturday, October 18 featuring close to 100 players. It will be the final singles tournament hosted by Fremont TTA of 2025 but there will be a 2-person team event, the 2025 Newark Butterfly West Coast Teams, on Thanksgiving weekend (Sat, Nov 29). 2025 Fremont TTA Butterfly August Open tournament

The third tournament of 2025 hosted by Fremont Table Tennis Academy took place at our usual nearby venue, the Siliman Center in Newark, located 10 minutes from our main Fremont academy location. It featured the usual slate of events from Open Singles, rating events for all levels, and age events for juniors and seniors.
