Month One of Summer Fun Done!

SUMMER CAMPS FREMONT | SUMMER CAMPS TRI-VALLEY

Fremont Table Tennis Academy in Fremont and Tri-Valley Branch of Fremont TTA in San Ramon finished the first month of summer camps. Students went through skills and drills in a fun and exciting environment. San Ramon for the first time had morning, afternoon, and full-day options to serve the Tri-Valley area with more flexible options. Fremont had its usual morning and afternoon camps and also advanced-only camps for the first time. Camps will continue until mid-August.

Fremont advanced camps featured our students preparing for the 2024 US Nationals in Huntsville, Alabama this week and future Nationals hopefuls. We wish our players good luck this week as Nationals are on July 3-7. Shashin and Umar will go to coach the kids in the matches. Students who will play the US Nationals are Rohan, Tanishq, Karthik, Ryan, Mihika, Saatwik, Atharva, Jack, Aditya, Anchit, and Akhil. All Nationals students prepared in the advanced camps this month. This is the first major tournament for Jack, Atharva, Aditya, Anchit, and Akhil. 

Students to excel in the Fremont regular camp in-class summer challenges were Ashvith, Ananya, Samar, Rishaan, Hasini, Ritvik, Sanghini, Caleb, Arya, Aryan, Kwanita, Aarav, Mihika, Anya and more. Sorry to any not mentioned. Students to win Fremont camp tournaments in the regular camps were Ishay, Samar, Anya, Zayna, and Aryan. Students to win advanced camp tournament groups were Rohan, Tanishq, Karthik, Jack, Yash, and more.

2025 Fremont TTA Butterfly October Open

The 2025 Fremont TTA Butterfly October Open took place this past Saturday, October 18 featuring close to 100 players. It will be the final singles tournament hosted by Fremont TTA of 2025 but there will be a 2-person team event, the 2025 Newark Butterfly West Coast Teams, on Thanksgiving weekend (Sat, Nov 29). Players battled all day for trophies, medals, rating points, and bragging rights! 2025 Fremont TTA Butterfly August Open tournament

The third tournament of 2025 hosted by Fremont Table Tennis Academy took place at our usual nearby venue, the Siliman Center in Newark, located 10 minutes from our main Fremont academy location. It featured the usual slate of events from Open Singles, rating events for all levels, and age events for juniors and seniors. Players to reach multiple finals were Jasmeet Bagga (1st-U700, 1st-U400), his son Samar (1st-U50, 2nd-U25), Sacramento’s James Therriault (1st-U2200, 2nd-Open Singles), and Viraaj Gaikwad (1st-Juniors 8 Years & Under, 2nd-U50)….
