Fremont Table Tennis hosted its second tournament of 2024, the 2024 Fremont Butterfly April Open, this past weekend, April 12-14, with its usual slate of events and awards. It was a 2-star USA Table Tennis sanctioned tournament. Players came from various places in Northern California to battle for trophies and medals in its 16 events. Special mention goes to Jack Lynch who was the only multiple event winner….

The first tournament of 2024 took place this past weekend, Feb 2-4, at Fremont Table Tennis Academy with players from throughout Northern California battling for bragging rights and trophies and medals! Players battled in rating events, junior events, Open Doubles, Open Singles, and a seniors event. The players to win multiple events were Tanishq Dhavali (Under 2200, Under 1900, Juniors 18 Years and Under), Frank (Dewei) Sun (Under 1600, Seniors 50+ Years), and Atharva Arvind (Under 700, Under 400)….

We joyfully commemorate our recent triumphs in the group table tennis class, reveling in the shared victories and camaraderie….

Fremont Table Tennis Academy sent 9 of its best students to the US Open in Ontario, CA this past week playing against the best players in North America. Students showed good team spirit, supported each other, and went through the ups and downs that go along with every major tournament. There were many exciting, tense, and close matches of which we came home with 3 medals….

The 2023 West Coast Teams tournament featured 15 teams battling in 3 divisions over the Thanksgiving weekend, November 24-26! The finalists in Division 1 were Team O’Boll (Rohan Bubna, Umar Iqbal) over Team Underdogs (Yuchen Wang, Mingxiang Fan). Division 2 featured Team Spin Sprinters (Rayan Chatterjee, Pradeep Srinivasan) over Team Goats (Vihan Bagal, Kyle Liang) in the final. Division 3 featured the Dragons (Myo Thein, Ria Chatterjee) over Twin Trouble (Jai Jadhav, Om Jadhav) in the final….
