Dimitrij Ovtcharov is looking to win 3 titles in 3 weeks after winning the 2017 Europe Top 16 and 2017 Swiss Open in the last 2 weeks.

Sharath Kamal is the only Indian in the top 100 in the world rankings but there are two other upcoming players that are just outside the top 100, Soumyajit Ghosh and Sathiyan Gnanasekaran. Both Kamal and Ghosh have played in the Olympics for India. Ovtcharov is the top seed in the 2017 India Open World Tour going on currently.

4-time Olympic Medalist Dimitrij Ovtcharov and India #1 Sharath Kamal are good friends as they both live in Dusseldorf, Germany.
