It is being supported by the relatives of the billion-dollar Ambani family in India.
The top two current leaders in the points standings are China’s Wu Yang for women and Sweden’s Par Gerell for men. I lived and practiced with Par Gerell in 2000 in Sweden when he was one of the top juniors in Sweden and I was preparing for the 2000 North American Olympic Trials. He was likely around 2,600 in US rating at the time and I lost to him the first time I played him but then won in practice every time. Now he is likely 2,800-2,900.

Now the matches move from Chennai to New Delhi.

Here is legendary Indian actor Aamir Khan promoting the league:[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner column_margin=”default” text_align=”left”][vc_column_inner column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/2″ column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_video link=”http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JNeZLj3sPHI”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/2″ column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row]
