Westchester TTC is owned by Will Shortz who is the long-time crossword puzzle editor for the New York Times. They also have a therapeutic program for seniors to help battle Parkinson’s disease. Table-tennis is now more often recommended by doctors to help battle dementia. Exercise keeps the body young and table-tennis may be the best sport to keep the brain young.
I went to Westchester for their monthly tournament in December 2015 and after not starting too well, I nearly advanced out of my open singles group and won one event. I plan to go to fly to one on September 24 as I still look forward to playing and competing. Westchester TTC manager Robert Roberts gave me a ride to the airport last time and said he will do so both ways for this coming tournament so they treat their players well!
