The 2019 West Coast Teams took place at the Siliman Center on Sunday, May 19 featuring 60 players in 2-3 player teams battling across 5 divisions.
The veteran team of Misha Sushchik, Neeraj Garg, and Kuldip Shodhan took the title in the first division winning convincingly. In Division 2, the top two teams were family affairs with the Super Sebenis (father and daughter team of Johnson Sebeni and Tega Sebeni) winning first and the uncle and niece team of Srinivasao Deshmukh and Ananya Manduva winning second place.

In Division 3, private lesson students Tim Hsueh and Chris Hazell took first place as Team Momentum. This is the second consecutive first place finish for Chris as he won first in the Thanksgiving Team tournament as well. In that tournament, Chris was partnered with Anirudha Das who won first place as well in this tournament but in Division 4 partnered with Kamal Kandi as Pleasanton Power. Division 5 was won by tournament rookies Samrudh Jakka and Jay Parekh as Team SJ. Team SJ could represent Samrudh’s initials, Samrudh and Jay’s initials, and San Jose where Samrudh and Jay take classes!
